Occasional Boarding
Our Occasional Boarding programme offers a unique opportunity for current day students in Year 9 and above to experience life within Cranbrook’s vibrant boarding community. Whether you need flexibility for work trips, leisure travel or simply want your child to immerse themselves in the enriching environment of boarding life, we’ve got you covered.
What’s Included?
Occasional Boarders enjoy:
- Supervised prep sessions (7:00 pm – 8:30 pm), supporting academic progress.
- Three nutritious meals a day in the dining hall, catering for all dietary needs.
- Healthy daily snacks in the boarding house.
- Access to outstanding facilities, including the gym, Sports Hall and Sixth Form Centre after school hours.
- Full bedding, linen and laundry services provided.
- On-site medical support during working hours.
Flexible Packages
Stay for 3, 5, or 7 nights, up to 14 nights per term, for just £70 per night. Availability is subject to spaces within our Boarding Houses.

How to Book
Booking is simple:
- Contact occasional@cranbrook.kent.sch.uk for enquiries.
- Complete an Occasional Boarding contract.
- Pre-pay via ParentMail.
Please note, bookings require two weeks’ notice and cancellations within 48 hours of arrival are non-refundable.
