Joining Sixth Form
Our Sixth Form entry requirements from 2027 are as follows:
Academic Entry Criteria for 2027 entry
Candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 35 points from their best six GCSE subjects or equivalent (in the view of the School).
Points will be on a 1-9 point scale, where Grade 1=1 and 2=2 etc.
Candidates must also obtain at least a Grade 5 at GCSE or equivalent (in the view of the School) in Maths and in either English Language or English Literature.
Candidates must meet the specific requirements for each A level course they wish to study as published in the 2027 Sixth Form Prospectus, which will be available in due course.

Please note, that if you have taken iGCSEs then we will apply the admissions policy as below.
The grade 5 requirement for Maths and English can be achieved with a C grade.
Any course that requires a Grade 7 will require an A grade and any course that requires a grade 6 will require a B grade.
iGCSE grades for entry will be translated into point scores using the following metric A* = 9, A=7, B=6, C = 5, D =4, E = 3.

Applications Process:
Applications for Sixth entry September 2027 will open on November 1st & close on 15th December 2026
All qualifying candidates will be ranked according to our Oversubscription Criteria which can be found in our 2027 Admissions Policies and the top 30–40-day candidates will receive Conditional Offers in February 2027; however this will be dependent on availability of places.
All qualifying boarding candidates will be invited for a Suitability for Boarding interview towards the end of January 2027 and Conditional Offers will be made to successful candidates, dependent on the number of available boarding places for Year 12 entry.
