LATE and IN-YEAR APPLICATIONS

It is unusual for the school to have any day places available for students applying outside of the normal round of admissions.  Students who wish to make a Late or In-Year Application for a Year 9 day place should contact the Admissions Team on 01580 711804 or email registrar@cranbrook.kent.sch.uk

Testing for late and in-year applications

As Cranbrook School is a selective Grammar School, all students have to undergo testing.  We will liaise with you to make arrangements for testing to take place.

If you wish to make a late application, please contact the Admissions Team to discuss options available.  A candidate will be tested using the Cranbrook School Year 9 Entrance Exam up to and including December 2025, for 2025-26 entry.  After this point, the method of testing will revert to an online CAT4 test.  If your child is successful and a place is available, a place will be offered.  However, if no spaces are available, your child will be added to the Waiting List which is kept according to our oversubscription criteria.

Outcome of Application

You will be advised on the outcome of your Application within 15 school days of the test result being known. You will be offered a place if:
