Cranbrook School

Music

Music is a vibrant part of life at Cranbrook School, with a rich tradition of engaging students both in and beyond the classroom. Our Music Department offers countless opportunities for students to explore their creativity, develop their talents and contribute to the school’s dynamic musical community.

A Thriving Musical Community

Cranbrook’s music programme is supported by a varied and comprehensive concert diary, featuring regular performances throughout the year. Weekly rehearsals, many held in the Vickers’ Auditorium, provide a space for students to hone their skills and collaborate with peers. Our ensembles cater to a wide range of musical interests and include:

  • School Orchestra
  • Jazz Band
  • Choir and Chamber Choir (The Elizabeth Consort)
  • Saxophone Group
  • String Quartets
  • Rock Group
  • Stomp-Style Percussion Group
  • Brass Group

In addition to performing at whole-school events, students regularly participate in concerts, recitals and house assemblies, sharing their musical talents with the wider school community.
