LATE and IN-YEAR APPLICATIONS
It is unusual for the school to have any places available for students applying outside of the normal round of admissions.
Students who wish to make an In-Year Application for a Year 7 day place should complete KCCs In-Year Admission Form via this link: https://www.kent.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0012/3522/in-year-application-form.pdf.
As Cranbrook School is a selective Grammar School, all students have to undergo testing. We will liaise with you to make arrangements for testing to take place.
If you wish to apply for a Year 7 day place, until the end of the first term in the School year, your child will need to be assessed using the Kent 11+ Test. After December of the year of entry your child will be assessed using the Cranbrook School Entrance Exam, further information on which can be requested from the Registrar.
Outcome of Application
You will be advised on the outcome of your Application within 15 school days of the test result being known. You will be offered a place if:
- Your child meets with our entry requirements
- A place is available
- No other child has a higher priority for the place
If your child is not offered a place you can:
- Join our Waiting List (if successful at testing).
- Make an Appeal – please see https://www.cranbrookschool.co.uk/admissions/appeals/ for further information.
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out which other Schools have places available.
