New Parents

Finding your way around a new school (or area) can be baffling at the best of times.

This page therefore provides new parents with a few short-cuts and reminders about life at Cranbrook.

If you are a new Day or Boarding parent, please see the downloads section to view the New Parents’ Guide.  The Uniform and Sports Kit list can be viewed here.

These guides include everything you’ll need to know about Cranbrook School; how it works, procedures and contact details.  If you have a unique question, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01580 711800.

Free School Meals – for parents wishing to apply for Free School Meals, please click here to be directed to Kent County Council’s website and application form.

Our day begins at 8:25 and ends at 3:35 – with considerable stretch at either end! In a typical week a student will attend 35 lessons, undertake four hours of sport or exercise, participate in three or more extra-curricular activities and enjoy a tasty, varied and healthy diet provided by our excellent catering department.

Kent County Council School Transport provide transport to and from school for children who are eligible. Details can be found on their website here.

Please download the school campus map and you will soon familiarise yourself with our facilities.

If you ever have concerns about your child’s welfare or progress at school, do contact us. The best way to do this is via e-mail. To contact a member of staff by e-mail, please use the staff member’s surname followed by their initial and the school email address. For example, to contact Mr David Clark, please use: clarkd@cranbrook.kent.sch.uk

Meanwhile, welcome to our school community and best wishes for a successful start to your child’s career at Cranbrook.
