Year 10 Students Participate in British Language Champions Competition
On Thursday 27th May, 21 Year 10 students participated in a British Language Champions competition.
With three French teams and one Spanish team, the students were given four tasks to submit to languages experts in the context of the World Health Organisation.
After picking their theme, they had to prepare a live phone call, write and article, shoot a video and come up with one last item to present in their chosen language.
Designed to reflect the deadlines of a real work situation, the students worked under a tight schedule and had to think on their feet. Team work and creativity had to be added to the linguistic skills!
Everyone made a very good effort, and the winning team was the French Nightingale team with Chloe Jones, Chi Uduanochie, Charlie Ellison, Evie Shimmin and Scarlett Bromage.
Bravo à tous les participant! Une excellent matinée de langues!
