Cranbrook School - Respect Aspire Achieve

The Joe and Freddie Memorial Match

Joe Atkins and Freddie McLennan were both amiable, kind young men who were well-liked during their time at Cranbrook School. Both tragically lost their lives in Bolivia while on their gap year, having finished their studies.

Isla and Jess, Joe’s two sisters, arranged an event on Saturday 14th December in their memory to raise money for Sam West Foundation and Football Beyond Borders, charities set up by Cranbrook School alumni. The theme focused on football—one of Joe’s passions; there was also a hog roast, refreshments, music, auction, raffle and games. The weather, though changeable, did try to behave as many people joined in with the activities.

Huge congratulations to both Isla and Jess on all their hard work, and thank you to their families and everyone who came along to show their support. We are very proud to have such caring, charitable and innovative students in our community.
