Spanish play comes to Cranbrook School
On Wednesday 4th March, the Queen’s hall was full of keen students learning Spanish, as they watched the play Primera Cita, or the Spanish equivalent of a first date!
After fancying each other in maths class for months, two teenagers are going to meet for their first date. We watched them as they conversed on the phone, got ready, shaved for the first time (!), put on cosmetics and the students even helped them with their outfit choices! Once at the cinema, two students acted as extras and one of them made a great impression on Maria… The denouement was not the happy ending we expected as they never got to kiss, but the two actors kept everyone very entertained all the way through.
They even accepted questions from their audience and had a little chat with our bilingual students. It was a fun-filled hour of Spanish, muy entretenido!
