Freya wins national sailing championship

We have been following the sailing career of Cranbrook School student Freya in Year 13 for a while, and we are so proud of her continued success.
Freya and her crew Millie have once again achieved an amazing result at national championship level, taking home first place gold at the 2019 29er Youth National Championships. They were up against 61 boats across five days at the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy, sailing 10 races, winning seven and placing two 2nd and 3rd places!
The have now been selected to represent GBR at the Youth Sailing World Championships in Poland this July. In addition, they have also been awarded the RYA Youth Champions for London and the South East at a presentation earlier this year at the RYA Dinghy Show.
Congratulations to both Freya and Millie on their continued success and all the best at the world championships this summer; we can’t wait to see how you get on!
