Drop Down Friday: Kitchen chemistry

Kitchen chemistry for drop down Friday was a great success!
Ms. Harrison made raisins dance, an acid/alkali indicator, colourful foamy fountains in champagne flutes (as there weren’t any test tubes at home) and used chemistry to put out candles. The only part that wasn’t fun was the clearing up!
One Year 8 student said it was one of the best online sessions she has attended, and Ms. Harrison is considering running another for more students in the next coming weeks.
