Cranbrook Bake-Offs: Swiss Rolls round!

Some lovely Swiss Rolls students made in response to the May half term drop down Friday competition we set up in food tech.  The students watched a Zoom lesson from Mrs Payne, where she demonstrated how to make a dessert classic: the Swiss Roll.  They were then asked to make one for themselves using the skills they learned during the lesson.  The results were amazing, I think you will agree.

After deliberations between staff, the winners are Eliza Briffa in Year 7; Isabel Gibbins in Year 7; and Sophie Locke in Year 9.

That said, all the desserts were truly amazing as Swiss Rolls are actually a very complicated thing to make and all the entries demonstrated really high-level skills. Well done everyone – they look absolutely delicious!

Sports Day was highly competitive and so much fun for all involved. Events included track, field, fun relays and our favourite event Tug of War. Great way to finish the term! 😃 Photos courtesy of Ali Kittermaster. Gallery will be available from Monday.

Cranbrook 1st beat the OC’s in their last match of the season by 4 runs. What a brilliant game, clearly enjoyed by all. Good luck to the OC’s in your next few games. Well done and thank you to all our Year 13 Leavers, particularly Cam, Piers and The Laver lads. 🏏💪🏆
