GCSE Success for Cranbrook Students

Cranbrook School students are once again celebrating outstanding GCSE results. We are extremely proud of their efforts, and these results are a testament to the hard work and dedication of both our students and staff. An impressive 53.1% of grades were achieved at levels 9 to 7, the equivalent of A* – A under the previous grading system, and 98.3% of grades at levels 9 to 4 (A* – C).

What is truly remarkable is the wide range of achievements among Cranbrook students. On average, they study at least three additional subjects, with over a fifth of pupils taking on 11 to 13 subjects. This approach ensures both variety and challenge, covering the three Sciences, Maths, English, Languages, and Humanities, while also nurturing the diverse interests and passions of our students.

There are always too many deserving students to mention but it is worth celebrating the success of the School’s outstanding performers. Eliza achieved a remarkable 11 subjects at grade 9, Jennifer achieved an impressive 10 grade 9s and 1 grade 8, Eve and Sophie with 10 grade 9s, Connie with 9 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s, Gemma with 9 grade 9s and 1 grade 8, Amy, Rosie and Veronica with 8 grade 9, Alexander with 7 grade 9s and both Joel and Tom with 6 grade 9s.

David Clark, Head, commented:

“There was a wonderful buzz at Cranbrook School this morning as students returned to collect their GCSE results. It was great to see so many happy students – who had either met or surpassed their academic expectations… and we are immensely proud of their collective achievements. The vast majority are returning to Cranbrook for Sixth Form and I know that they will make a really positive impact as senior students at the School. As always sadly, there will be some students who don’t return for a variety of reasons and we wish them well as they embark on new educational adventures.”
