Curriculum
Although we are a small school, with a personal approach our dynamic and evolving curriculum equips all our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed at school and beyond.
The school is clearly divided into three key stages, each with a dedicated social area and lead member of staff. However, we take a lot of pride in the way all our students mix freely around the school and make use of the specialist subject classrooms.
The learning objectives for each department is clearly laid out with links to subject overviews available on this page.
Cranbrook School aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum, which promotes the moral, spiritual, cultural, mental and physical development of all our students. The curriculum should also prepare our students for the challenges and responsibilities of adult life. We seek to provide choice and encourage independent thinking, providing the tools to succeed in the modern world. Students should be able to maximise their potential and to leave school aware that with ability comes the responsibility to use it for the betterment of all.
Key Stage 3 aims to develop learning power through a broad and engaging curriculum, Key Stage 4 aims to guide all students through the English Baccalaureate and Key Stage 5 aims to help students gain specialist knowledge in their preferred area of studies.
