A B-line for Cranbrook

Down at the bottom of Cornwallis Field, Cranbrook’s a glorious sea of wildflowers in bloom.

The Cranbrook History Society approached us last year to get involved in the B-Line project, where local communities and organisations set aside some land for bee pollinator friendly planting. It is a national initiative run through Buglife and apparently Cranbrook and Sissinghurst are prime areas for B-lines!

In the autumn the ground staff seeded a large patch of land behind Cornwallis Field with bee friendly wild flowers which now look fabulous as well as helping the bees.

Sports Day was highly competitive and so much fun for all involved. Events included track, field, fun relays and our favourite event Tug of War. Great way to finish the term! 😃 Photos courtesy of Ali Kittermaster. Gallery will be available from Monday.

Cranbrook 1st beat the OC’s in their last match of the season by 4 runs. What a brilliant game, clearly enjoyed by all. Good luck to the OC’s in your next few games. Well done and thank you to all our Year 13 Leavers, particularly Cam, Piers and The Laver lads. 🏏💪🏆
