Superb performance for Cranbrook Rowers at the Kent Games Indoor Rowing Champs

Cranbrook School Boat Club (CBSC) performed superbly well in the recent Kent School Games Indoor Rowing Championships recently.  So much so they have been selected to represent Tunbridge Wells.  The teams only just missed out on representing the County at the National Schools’ Games finals.

Both the girls’ and boys’ team won second place with George Slack (12Ra) and Bella Armstrong (13Sc) winning bronze medals for their individual 8min rows.  The senior rowers at CSBC have been training hard over the last month to improve their fitness for the National Schools’ Head in London.  Their efforts were rewarded with all the squad achieving personal bests on the rowing machines for their 8 min individual rows.

Preparations continue for our next race at Maidstone Head on the 4th March followed by the National Schools’ Head on the 12th March.  It is clear that the rowers are slowly but surely beginning to show their potential following the increased amount of training that they have committed to doing over the last 5 weeks.
