Staff Induction
New members of staff are invited to an Induction day before the term begins to ensure that their start at Cranbrook is smooth and supportive.

They will meet members of the Leadership Group, their Line manager or Head of Department to discuss their timetable and they will meet the Induction co-ordinator to be given essential information about school routines and procedures, along with the Staff Guide and Tutor Handbook which illustrate fully all the facets of school life. They will also meet with their Pastoral Head of House if they are to be attached to one of the Day or Boarding houses. The role of the tutor, duties, and responsibilities will be addressed.

New members of staff are invited to join the INSET Professional Studies programme to support and develop their knowledge of school procedures e.g. Writing reports on line, Risk assessment for taking pupils out of school.

The Induction tutor is available for help and support throughout the year.

Our aim is to make our new staff feel at ease so that they can start confidently and successfully and know that there is always someone they can ask for guidance.
