BUSY START TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR |

The school year kicked off at the beginning of September with two induction days for the new Year 9 students which involved activities such as climbing, a treasure hunt, music, drama, forensic science activities and navigation and survival skills.

The School held its first Prep School Debating competition at the beginning of December which involved teams of pupils from six prep schools under the guidance of the School’s own team of debaters.

A key focus of the Amnesty, Protect the Human Week, was to raise awareness of Amnesty’s work to champion human rights and stand up against human rights abuse. Cranbrook School’s Amnesty Group held a week of events to raise money and the profile of the group.

The Dance Show took place just before half term and was a huge success with the Year 13s playing a huge role in this event. Between them they provided a variety of pieces choreographed and performed to an incredibly high standard.

A number of students have presented to the School medical centre with flu-like symptoms, and are being sent home. If your child has flu during the half term break please do not send them back to school until they are completely well.
Please also be aware that if a child has swine flu they should be kept at home for seven days from the first sign of symptoms, even if they start to feel well again, as they could still infect others with the virus. |

The School's annual charity walk took place on Wednesday 14th October with the whole school off timetable to take part in a sponsored walk from Scotney Castle cross country back to School.
