FRENCH
In recent years there have been links, day trips, visits and exchanges with our science link partner school, the Lycee de L'Escaut, in Valenciennes.
We have two other exchange partner schools in France. Le College Franklin in Lille is our link for Year 9 and Year 10 students and we visit them in May on an exchange with their return visit in February/March.
The Year 12/13 students visit le Lycee St Thomas d'Aquin in St Jean-de-Luz, South of Biarritz, for a week. Our partners visit us in either December of February and we visit them at the end of March in order to boost the oral perfomances in April.
Both of these exchanges include time spent in our partner schools, local excursions and time spent with families, which is paramount for language immersion.
GERMAN
There has been a relatively recent Lower School trip to the Moselle Valley and a sixth form German Berlin experience. We also have a link school with whom exchanges have been run in the past.
SPAIN
Last year a Year 13 visit took place to Seville. This year there will be an email link with pupils from a Spanish school.
