In the Sixth form the department combines with Music and Dance to provide qualifications in the Performing Arts. We cover the OCR Specification in 'A' Level Performing Arts.
The various units for the exam at AS and A2 involve both a detailed knowledge and understanding of the art form and the practical realisation of performance in Music, Dance and Drama.
Assessment is made through practical work and written investigations of venues and their operation and management, and of professional practitioners and their skills and expertise. Candidates also have to show development and progress over the course in their own chosen discipline.
