Students at the School have written their own healthy recipes as part of Healthy School Week and the winners of the Interhouse Receipe competition recently took part in a 'Cook Off'.
The students had to prepare their own recipes under the watchful eyes of a panel of judges, Headteacher Mrs Daly, School Chef Graeme Edmonds and London chef and ex-student Rhys Bennett.
All of the dishes prepared were of a very high standard – healthy, well presented and certainly tasty! The overall winner was James Drummond, with his Winter Chicken Paella. Ellie Judd’s Chicken Tagliatelle was best main meal, and Frances Bussey’s Mozzarella Delight was best vegetarian main meal. The best dessert was Lydia Irving’s Banana Bread. The winners received House Points, Early Lunch Passes, and Vouchers to be used at Ipanema in Stone Street. Early next term all these recipes will appear on the menu for school lunches.
