Allan Girls

Allan Girls is a fun, busy House with a strong sense of House spirit. Girls in Allan live primarily n Goudhurst and Staplehurst and outlying villages.  Allan Girls contribute tremendously to all aspects of school life and are very keen to represent the House in the inter-house events that take place throughout the year.

Many of our events are held jointly with Allan Boys and we start the year with a welcoming Coffee Morning for new Year 9 parents. The venue this year is the 6th Form Centre from 10 to 12 on Saturday 11th September, an invite can be downloaded here:

Other events to which parents are warmly invited are the House play on 18th November and the parents’ party that is held on 3rd December.  Later in the year the Soiree is a must and we love to see your support at Sports Day and indeed any inter-house sporting events held on Saturdays.

The girls begin their social calendar in the Autumn Term with the House Theatre Trip. This year we have arranged a trip to see The Lion King in London on Thursday 14th October. Listen out for when to apply as spaces are limited.  More details here:

We like to see as many girls as possible involved in the House play in November. This is run by the Year 13 students and is a fun extra-curricular event to take part in. As the term comes to an end we have our annual House Dinner in the Dining Hall on Friday 3rd December. The Year 13 girls are heavily involved in the organisation and always make it a fun occasion for all. Later in the year girls have the opportunity to showcase their musical talents at our main Lenten Appeal event, the Allan Soiree, in the Spring Term. We also tune up our vocal cords for the House Shout at the end of the term.

We warmly welcome all of our new students this year.  Looking after Allan Girls this year are the following teachers and students:

Head of House – Mrs Fairey

Tutors are Mrs Chapman Year 9; Mrs Fairey & Miss Harvey Year 10; Miss Parey Year 11; Mr White Year 12; Mrs Fowler Year 13.

House Captain – Izzy Harris

Deputies are Alice Charge and Emma Irving; Student Council Rep is Charly Cooper; Sports Captain is Lucy Cooper.
