Allan Girls

Allan Girls is a fun, busy House with a strong sense of House spirit. Girls in Allan live primarily in Goudhurst and Staplehurst and outlying villages.  Allan Girls contribute tremendously to all aspects of school life and are very keen to represent the House in the inter-house events that take place throughout the year.

Many of our events are held jointly with Allan Boys and we start the year with a welcoming Coffee Morning for new Year 9 parents. The venue this year is the 6th Form Centre from 10 to 12 on Saturday 17th September, an invite can be downloaded here:

Other events to which parents are warmly invited are the House play on 16th November and the parents’ party that is held on 2nd December.  Later in the year the Soiree is a must and we love to see your support at Sports Day and indeed any inter-house sporting events held on Saturdays.

The girls begin their social calendar in the Autumn Term with the House Theatre Trip. This year we have arranged a trip to see Shrek in London on Thursday 3rd November. Listen out for when to apply as spaces are limited.  More details here:

We like to see as many girls as possible involved in the House play in November. This is run by the Year 13 students and is a fun extra-curricular event to take part in. As the term comes to an end we have our annual House Dinner in the Dining Hall on Friday 2nd December. The Year 13 girls are heavily involved in the organisation and always make it a fun occasion for all. Later in the year girls have the opportunity to showcase their musical talents at our main Lenten Appeal event, the Allan Soiree, in the Spring Term. We also tune up our vocal cords for the House Shout at the end of the term.

We warmly welcome all of our new students this year.  Looking after Allan Girls this year are the following teachers and students:

Head of House – Mrs Fairey

Tutors are Miss Harvey Year 9; Miss Parey Year 10; Mrs Downing Year 11; Mrs Fairey Year 12; Mrs Fowler Year 13.

House Captain – Holly Kerr

Deputies are Bronwen O'Kelly and Ellie Sinden;  Student Council Reps are Chloe Freeman and Lydia Redman; Sports Captain Emily Harris

The Parent Rep for both Allan Boys and Girls is Mrs Ruth Roberts.
